Description
AICP offers the James Shimmin Memorial Bursary to IOM domiciled/resident individuals, sufficient to pay for an International Compliance Association qualification application/registration fee.
The bursary is offered to encourage new or recent entrants to compliance roles to assist in developing their career and the development of our profession.
The candidate
- Any candidate can apply;
- Preference will be given to those entering (or who are relatively new) to the compliance profession;
- Applications by AICP board or committee members or members of their family will not be considered/are not eligible for consideration.

Additional parameters
- AICP board timeline to consider applications – within 2 months of each quarter end date;
- Applications to support a qualification which a candidate has commenced and/or where a candidate has contracted to pay the qualification fee, will not be considered;
- No applications by AICP board or committee members or members of their family will be considered/are eligible for consideration;
- Award of a bursary is at the sole discretion of the AICP board;
- The decision of the AICP board is final;
- Canvassing of any AICP board member will automatically disqualify an applicant from receipt of the bursary.
